The Rebeka Lucijana Berčič Institute for Sericulture and Silk Craft is a private research institute established to meet the need for a dedicated research and advisory body focused on the revival of sericulture in Slovenia. Drawing on its own knowledge, which has been developed and acquired mainly in the Slovenian context, as well as its established network of collaborators and pilot silk producers, the Institute provides highly specialised support to Slovenian silk growers and producers. ISS_RLB carries out various sericulture and silk production projects, and is the only Slovenian organisation researching and developing conditions for re-establishing sericulture and silk production in Slovenia.
