Špela Šedivy is an artist primarily focused on sculpture, who recently began showcasing her functional-decorative creations under the name Karstea Studio. A graduate of the Sežana Higher Vocational School and the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana, Šedivy draws inspiration from stone's dual nature – its gentle qualities on the one side and its raw strength on the other. For her, the tactile connection with material remains paramount. She has participated in group art exhibitions in Slovenia, Austria, Germany, and the Czech Republic. She also contributed to the sculptural intervention project KipAktiviti II, which was awarded the Student Prešeren Prize in 2022. Špela lives and works in Sežana.
