Little Bird of Gratitude with Gilded Tail

The bird symbolises strength, life, fertility, love, and gratitude, offering thanks for everything it finds in nature. In spring, it builds its nest high in the treetops, a place that is difficult to reach and where only the chosen few are welcome. This symbolises family, human spirituality, paradise, the ultimate sanctuary, and faith. For Slovenians, the little bird's golden voice expresses gratitude while encouraging love. 

The oldest texts about humanity from the Vedanta describe the bird as a symbol of God's favour towards man. It is said to seek the divine nectar – amrita, the elixir of immortality – in remote, unreachable mountains, to bring it back to humanity.
