A series of porcelain cups symbolising the spirituality and beauty of Empress Barbara of Celje.
Barbara of Celje married Emperor Sigismund of Luxemburg, the Holy Roman Emperor, while she was still a minor, and thus became Empress Barbara. She loved beauty and kindness and was herself the embodiment of beauty and kindness of her time. To this day, she remains a symbol of the culturally enlightened Slovenian and European woman.
The collection of cups, which are shaped as a dome or a sphere with four legs, represents the divine world grounded in four points of the earthly realm. The handle of the cup is imprinted with the shape of an ancient sacred grip, which held special significance during ritual drinking. The touch of the thumb and forefinger, united in a sacred circle (mudra), symbolises God.
Gift packaging is available either as a single cup or a pair of cups.
