PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The product is a subtle blend of contemporary design and classic, sometimes even disappearing printing and bookbinding techniques, created by a carefully selected team of boutique Slovenian artisans who swear by handcrafted methods and a personal touch.

The aim of this project, which designer Ajda Schmidt has been developing in collaboration with the Tiskarna Povše printing house for 12 years, was to showcase the printing house's technical expertise in the form of a premium corporate gift that would attract more ambitious clients and bring in demanding projects. Since a significant amount of waste material is an inevitable part of printing process, an additional product line was created using paper that would otherwise be discarded: a simpler, unbound notebook and small tear-off notepads. The resulting collection is a set of high-quality writeware (i.e. printed matter designed to be written on). The offset-printed writeware features paper in different colours, weights, textures, and designs. The pages intended for writing alternate with original film photographs, creating a dynamic rhythm and serving as a visual mnemonic device for the user to enable the organic creation of various thematic clusters.

The project has received numerous domestic and international awards across its various iterations.
